Visiting the Courthouse
The Calvert County Courthouse is located at 175 Main Street, Prince Fredrick, Maryland, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free parking is available on Main Street and in several public parking lots within walking distance of the courthouse. All persons entering the courthouse must submit to security screening for the purpose of detecting weapons and contraband. Such searches may include the use of electronic or other specialized equipment or manual searches, as deemed appropriate by court security. In addition, all briefcases, packages, bags, purses, wallets, cell phones, electronic devices and other personal belongings will be scanned by an x-ray machine and may be manually inspected. The following items may not be brought into the courthouse:
Cell phones and other electronic devices are permitted in the courthouse; however, all devices must be turned off in courtrooms.

For information concerning closings and delays due to weather conditions or other emergency situations, you may do one of the following:
To ensure compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the courts have designated ADA Coordinators for their facilities and services. If you have questions or need assistance, contact the appropriate ADA Coordinator.
The Maryland Judiciary provides court interpreters for hearings and proceedings conducted in court, as well as certain court-related services and events, at no cost, for individuals who are parties or witnesses in civil, criminal, and juvenile proceedings.
The Maryland Court Interpreter Program created the following brochures to assist LEP (Limited English Proficient) individuals and their representatives:
To request a spoken language interpreter for a court appearance, please submit a Request for Spoken Language Interpreter (Form CC-DC-041) to the Clerk’s Office for the Circuit Court of Calvert County. The request for an interpreter for your hearing should be submitted to the court thirty (30) days prior to the court date, if possible.
If requesting a sign language interpreter, complete the Request for Accommodation for Person with Disability (Form CC-DC-049). Please submit the completed form to the Clerk’s Office for the Circuit Court of Calvert County not less than thirty (30) days before the proceeding for which the accommodation is requested.
