Overview

Calvert County Parks and Recreation (CCPR) operates the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center in Prince Frederick, a indoor year round facility, and two outdoor seasonal pools - Cove Point Park Pool in Lusby and Kings Landing Pool in Huntingtown.

If inclement weather is in the forecast, please call any of our aquatics facilities for delay or closure information.

Aquatic facilities all over the world will be holding a free swim lesson on June 22 to bring awareness to water safety , drowning prevention and the importance of learning to swim.  We will be hosting this event at all three of our aquatic facilities:

Cove Point Pool 10-10:30 a.m.

Kings Landing Pool 10-10:30 a.m.

Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center 6-6:30 p.m.

The Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center offers indoor lap swim, therapy pool use (ages 18+ years), leisure pool (children's pool) use, and fitness room use (ages 18+ years). No reservations are required.

Please be advised:

The competition (lap pool) at the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 9 in preparation for the weekend's swim meet. 

The Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center will be closed this Saturday & Sunday, June 10 & 11 for a swim meet.  This closure applies to the entire facility.  The Hall will reopen on Monday, June 12 with regular hours.  Due to the closure patrons will be able to use their Hall annual/season/punch passes at Cove Point Pool and Kings Landing Pool on these dates.   

 The competition pool at the Edward T. Hall Aquatic Center will be set up in long course orientation from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.  on the following Saturdays: May 27, June 4, July 1, July 22. The competition pool will be closed each of the above Saturdays from approximately 12 p.m– 1 p.m. to reset back to the short course configuration.

Resources

Attention: Inflatable water wings, boats and other vests will no longer be permitted to be used at any Calvert County Parks and Recreation swimming pool unless they are Coast Guard Approved as a personal flotation device (PFD). Please check the label of any floatation device to determine that it meets this requirement.
