Youth Sports
2023 Recreational Youth Soccer League
2023 Soccer Tournament Brackets Final
Player registration runs from early May through the end of July. Children in grades pre-K-12 are eligible. All Pre-K players must be 4 years old by September 1, 2023. Registration fee for Pre-K-K is $50.00. Registrations for grades 1-12 is $73.00 for the first family member and $68.00 for each additional family member. We offer youth soccer in the northern, central, and southern areas of the county. Please ensure you register for the area you would like for your child to play in.
The youth soccer league is intended to provide an organized and instructional soccer program with emphasis on exercise, fun, and good sportsmanship. Shin guards, molded rubber cleats and a CCPR blue/gray jersey ($15 additional) is required. You may use your CCPR blue/gray jersey from previous seasons.

Youth Field Hockey
Fall Youth Field Hockey is a great way for players in grades 2-8 to learn the sport. This program focuses on skill building and team concepts. Practices are held two nights per week. Games are played on Sunday at Hallowing Point Park. Participants must bring protective eyewear, shin guards, mouth guard, ball and a stick.

Youth Volleyball
There are no programs scheduled at this time.
CCPR is in need of qualified Youth Volleyball Instructors for spring, summer and fall. If you have an interest or know someone who does, please contact us (410) 535-1600 ext. 2227 or 2229 or email us at sports@calvertcountymd.gov.
Tennis
Join CCPR for tennis lessons at Dunkirk District Park and Cove Point Parks. Our instructors are certified teaching professional who enjoy working with individuals and groups. CCPR tennis lesson goals are to enhance fundamentals and to create a fun and supportive environment that will encourage participants to play and enjoy the game for life. For information on current lessons and events, please check us out online or email us at sports@calvertcountymd.gov.
Parks & Recreation also holds its annual "Tennis Free for All" event on Saturday, May 13, 2023. This free event features free instruction for children and adults as well as giveaways and refreshments. Pre-registration is recommended. Look for details in our spring brochure. Public tennis courts can be found at Dunkirk District Park, Beach Elementary School, Hallowing Point Park and Cove Point Park.

Court availability for reservations is first determined by CCPR event schedule and then by existing paid reservations. and lastly first-come, first-served for open courts. Courts can be found at Dunkirk District Park, Hallowing Point Park and Cove Point Park. Adult Sports
Tuesday Night COREC Adult Softball League Standings 9-2--2023
Coed Adult Softball
Calvert County Parks and Recreation will be accepting applications for the Fall COREC Softball League beginning in July. Cost is $770 per team.

Golf
Each fall, the Office of Sports, Community & Well-Being looks forward to hosting the Annual Chesapeake Hills Golf Classic. This event is a great opportunity for everyone in the community to come out enjoy one of Southern Maryland’s most improved and picturesque golf courses. The event is a four person scramble and is a great opportunity to make new friends and renew old acquaintances. This year’s tournament will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 with the net proceeds benefiting the CCPR Therman Gray Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund benefits underprivileged families that would like to participate in CCPR programs.

Pickleball
Join CCPR for one of the fastest growing sports in the Country. Pickle Ball combines the fun and excitement of tennis, racquetball and ping pong into a small court for two or four players. Pickle Ball is easy to learn and fun. Meet new friends and add Pickle Ball to your active lifestyle today.

Outdoor Pickle Ball courts can be found at Dunkirk District Park court #4 (two courts), Mt. Hope Community Center (one court), Hallowing Point Park court #1, #2, #3 and #4, Cove Point Park court #2 (two courts) and Solomons Town Center (one court). You’ll need to bring your own paddles and balls, but Pickle ball nets are at each court. You just have to move them into place and return them to the side once you’re done.
