Co-parenting
Co-parenting Seminar
Helps parents manage family changes in a positive, resourceful manner and is designed to minimize the disruptive effects of conflict, separation and divorce on the lives of children and their parents. Parents learn about the emotional impact of family conflict on children, the developmental stages of children and how family changes affect different stages, appropriate discipline, managing transitions between households, explaining family changes to children, developing constructive communication with the other parent and many other skills and resources. Two 3-hour sessions are held consecutive nights. Self-referrals register through the Family Services Office.

Intensive Individualized Co-Parenting Coaching Program
An intensive co-parent coaching program. This program provides four coaching sessions. The sessions focus on helping parents identify the impact of specific areas of conflict on their child, develop a framework for shared values, rules and routines for their child to enhance consistency. Children may be included as appropriate. A detailed final report is provided.
Fee: $201.24 per parent.
Fee Waiver: Eligible for partial fee waiver if service is court ordered.

Parenting Assessment
Two-session program including interviews with the parent, observation of parent-child interactions, assisting parents in completing a child development screener and AAPI (Adult-Adolescent Parenting Inventory). A detailed report includes a professional assessment of parenting skills and areas of need, analysis of the assessment instruments and specific recommendations.
Fee: $57.50/hr.
Fee Waiver: Eligible for partial fee waiver if service is court ordered.

Parent Education
Parent Education - Basic Parenting
Parent education to learn the basics of child growth and development, child safety, nutritional needs, understanding the goals of behavior, developing independence in children, behavior management and discipline, and problem solving. Depending on case-specific issues, service may include child(ren).
Fee: $80-$100/hr. per person depending on provider.
Fee Waiver: Eligible for partial fee waiver if service is court ordered.

Parent Education - Parenting for Success
A six-week class for parents of all ages that addresses child development, behavior management, abuse and neglect prevention, parent/child roles, relationship building, parenting styles and the effect of substance abuse on parenting.
Fee: $57.50/hr. per participant.
Fee Waiver: Eligible for partial fee waiver if service is court ordered.

Parenting Education - NOVO Parenting Program
A six-week in-home parenting program that provides parenting support, skills training and behavioral health training. Focus includes non-physical discipline, behavior management, child development, nutrition, health and safety, abuse and neglect prevention, positive family interaction and attachment. Includes detailed final report.
Fee: $57.50/hour (about $1,200 per family)
Fee Waiver: Not eligible for fee waiver. Fees are the responsibility of each party.

Parent Communication
Parent Communication - Basic
Parent communication services assist parties in learning appropriate and cooperative communication and problem-solving skills to develop an optimum co-parent relationship. Providers are often chosen based on degree of conflict between the parties.
Fee: $80-$200/hr. depending on provider.
Fee Waiver: Not eligible for fee waiver. Fees are the responsibility of each party.
Providers: The Family Services Office maintains a list of qualified counselors.
Parent Communication and Coaching
Parent communication and coaching services to assist parties in learning appropriate and cooperative communication skills to develop an optimum co-parent relationship and will include information on child growth and development, child safety, nutritional needs, understanding the goals of behavior, developing independence in children, behavior management and discipline, and problem solving.
Fee: $80 and up/hr. depending on provider.
Fee Waiver: Eligible for partial fee waiver if service is court ordered.
