Parent Coordination

Parent Coordinators are experienced mental health professionals who have specialized training in parent coordination and mediation and utilize a problem-solving approach in high conflict parenting situations. Parent Coordinators work with families on a long-term basis, helping parties learn to communicate more effectively and assisting them in resolving conflicts that might otherwise cause the parties to return to court. They have limited authority to make decisions resolving conflicts between the parents which do not affect the court's exclusive jurisdiction to determine fundamental issues of custody and visitation.
