Social Services Advisory Board

Overview

The Social Services Advisory Board works closely with Department of Social Services Director on local application of state policies/procedures and issues relative to the program; advises Director on local issues or programs related to the provision of social services; and provides recommendations for serving county residents more effectively.

Composition

The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) shall appoint at least nine {no more than 13} members, and two ex-officio (Code Human Services Article, secs 3-501 through 3-503). The term of each member shall be three years, unless appointed to an unfulfilled term. Terms expire June 30 of the year of expiration.
